A 26-year-old woman awoke on a walking path in Ottawa's south end on Sunday to find that she'd apparently been unconscious, assaulted and robbed.
The woman had been walking her dog on a path from Wisteria Crescent to Dean Martin Crescent in the Hunt Club area of Ottawa between 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
According to an Ottawa Police Service media release, the next thing the woman remembers is waking up to her dog licking her face.
Her necklace and ring were missing and the woman had injuries to her head, face and wrist, said the release.
Ottawa police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call their robbery section at 613-236-1222 ext. 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477.
