Seven men and one woman have been charged with fraud following several incidents at the Lac Leamy Casino in Hull, Que.

Police in Gatineau said the eight people used phoney credit cards and debit cards to obtain more than $100,000 at the casino.

According to a Gatineau Police Service media release, the charges relate to incidents that happened between June 11 and June 13.

Police said they seized three vehicles and hundreds of counterfeit cards.

Seven of the people charged are from Toronto and one is from Montreal.

Police said the accused have been released on bail.
