A 23-year-old Ottawa man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with a shooting that left two Ottawa men dead a week ago.
Phillip Salmon, 28, and Ziad Ahmad, 32, died after being found with gunshot wounds in Ottawa's east end on the night of June 21.
Kwaku Frimpong was to appear in court Friday, said a police news release issued at 9 a.m. ET.
Frimbong was arrested Thursday around 12:30 p.m. in Markham, Ont., just north of Toronto, said an Ottawa police news release issued early that afternoon.
Salmon was found in the parking lot of a Pizza Hut restaurant near St. Laurent Boulevard and Montreal Road around 10 p.m. ET on June 21. Shortly after, police found Ahmad next door at Pari's Motel.
