A Kingston teenager has broken a national record by solving the two-by-two Rubik's Cube puzzle in 8.75 seconds.
Craig Bouchard, 17, said it's a challenge every time he picks up the cube, as there are "43 quintillion possibilities."
The two-by-two cube has only four facets per side and is often called the "pocket cube."
Bouchard joined competitors from across Canada and the United States over the weekend to take part in the Rubik's Cube Canadian Open.
Harris Chan, 13, of Thornhill, north of Toronto, took home the top honours after solving the traditional three-by-three cube (nine facets per side) in a little more than 14 seconds.
He will represent Canada at the World Rubik's Cube Championship in Budapest, Hungary, this fall.
