Stabbing in Ottawa's Little Italy neighbourhood

Ottawa police are investigating an overnight stabbing along Preston Street that sent a man in his 20s to hospital.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with stab wounds after an altercation in Ottawa’s Little Italy neighbourhood overnight.

Police and paramedics told the CBC’s Kristy Nease a man was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition at 1:38 a.m. Sunday.

This came after an incident near the intersection of Preston and Young streets.

Police have released few details but they are investigating the incident.
