Ontario provincial police say they seized more than $4 million worth of marijuana and related products after a bust in South Glengarry on Wednesday.

They said local officers, members of a drug enforcement unit and an emergency response team executed warrants at properties on Concession Road 7 and Cuthbert Road.

The seized items have an estimated street value of more than $4 million:

  • 3775 marijuana plants.
  • 186 pounds of marijuana buds.
  • 237 pounds of marijuana “shake”, or bits and pieces.
  • 75 pounds of a mixture to make hashish oil.

Police said they also dismantled an elaborate drying system, including several pieces of industrial equipment.

Six people have been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of production of a controlled substance.

They are a 57-year-old man from South Glengarry, a 57-year-old man from Hawkesbury, a 66-year-old Ottawa man and three men from Mexico aged 39, 41 and 50.

They are all scheduled to appear in court in Cornwall on Oct. 29.
