Snowfall warning issued for Ottawa-Gatineau
Environment Canada expects 15 centimetres of snow to fall on Saturday
About 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the Ottawa area on Saturday and Saturday night as a low-pressure system tracks across a wide swath of eastern Ontario.
Snow should start falling in the early afternoon and will continue into Saturday night, Environment Canada said. The high temperature Saturday is forecast to reach -5 C.
About five centimetres of snow is expected to fall during the day, with the remainder expected to fall overnight.
The forecast for Sunday calls for a mix of sun and cloud, a 40-per-cent chance of flurries and a high of -3 C.
