Snowfall warning issued for Ottawa-Gatineau

About 15 centimetres of snow is expected to fall in the Ottawa area on Saturday and Saturday night as a low-pressure system tracks across a wide swath of eastern Ontario.

Snow should start falling in the early afternoon and will continue into Saturday night, Environment Canada said. The high temperature Saturday is forecast to reach -5 C.

About five centimetres of snow is expected to fall during the day, with the remainder expected to fall overnight.

The forecast for Sunday calls for a mix of sun and cloud, a 40-per-cent chance of flurries and a high of -3 C.
