Small boy, 3, in critical condition after south Ottawa rollover
Ottawa paramedics say a three-year-old boy was taken to hospital in critical condition after he was ejected from a car during a rollover in south Ottawa Thursday afternoon.
Paramedics said in a news release they were called to Highway 416 near Century Road, which is near Manotick, around 1:05 p.m. after a southbound car rolled over.
Three people were treated by paramedics and brought to hospital. The three-year-old boy suffered multiple injuries, while a 27-year-old woman suffered an upper body injury and a 21-year-old woman suffered neck and back injuries.
Paramedics said the two adults were in serious, but stable condition when they arrived at hospital.
Ontario Provincial Police said they're investigating the rollover and trying to determine how the car left the road.
"It's not one of the spots on the highway that first comes to mind as an issue spot, trouble spots or one of our higher collision-rate spots," said Const. Rheal Levac with the OPP.
