If you walked into a restaurant and were greeted with a, "No credit cards accepted" sign, would you stay?

Ottawa restaurants Union Local 613 and El Camino are considering no longer accepting credit cards because of the high cost of providing the service.

Ivan Gedz, who co-owns Union Local 613, told Ottawa Morning his restaurant could be saving about $26,000 per year if he stopped accepting credit cards.

He floated the idea on Facebook to mixed reviews. Some people said they want kitchen staff to make more money, while others said they'd stop coming if they couldn't pay with credit cards.
