Man shot, found in vehicle in south Ottawa

A man was shot and found in a vehicle on Johnston Road in south Ottawa late Wednesday night.

Victim suffered serious injuries, is co-operating with police

A man was shot and found in a vehicle on Johnston Road in south Ottawa late Wednesday night, police say.

Police were called to Johnston Road near Cellini Court shortly before 11:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found an injured 36-year-old man in one vehicle and another vehicle sped off.

Officers caught up with that vehicle a short time later and arrested four young males whose ages are unknown.

Search for suspects continues

On Thursday morning, police said that group wasn't linked to the shooting.

The guns and gangs unit is leading the investigation and looking for suspects.

The injured man was taken to hospital.

Police said he was seriously injured, but his wounds aren't considered life-threatening and he's co-operating with the investigation.
