Absolutely Ottawa, an arts and documentary series, returns to CBC Television this weekend.

The six-episode series airs Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. and ends Aug. 3.

Absolutely Ottawa wraps up its season with "Ottawa Shorts" — five short films produced by Ottawa-Gatineau filmmakers. The wealth of talent in this region, both behind the scenes and on-screen, is evident in this selection of cinematic shorts.

Finalists from the Ottawa International Film Festival’s 72 Hour Film Challenge, the Digi 60 Festival and Algonquin College's broadcasting television program are in the spotlight:
