A Westboro resident woke to the sound of shattering glass and later found their Selby Avenue home had been hit by bullets early Sunday morning, according to Ottawa police.

The guns and gangs unit was called out to the 300 block of Selby Avenue around midnight after the resident called 911. Selby Avenue is located between the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, Island Park Drive and Scott Street.

When they arrived, police found several bullet holes in the home's front bay window and empty shell casings in the laneway outside.

No one was injured and there are no known suspects.
