Review ordered after Ottawa student pinned by gym wall
The Ottawa Catholic School Board has ordered principals at all of its schools to review the operation of motorized partitions after a 13-year-old student was crushed by the large sliding doors used to divide the gym at Notre Dame High School.
The boy was rushed to hospital in critical condition on Thursday afternoon. The school board did not release updated information on his condition on Friday.
How the Grade 7 student ended up trapped by a partition that separates two sections of the gym remains unknown.
CBC's Simon Gardener got an inside look at how huge sliding partitions operate.
