Rapibus engine block catches on fire

An articulated bus on the Rapibus bus corridor caught on fire Friday afternoon but no one was hurt, according to Gatineau firefighters.

An articulated bus on the Rapibus corridor caught on fire Friday afternoon but no one was hurt, according to Gatineau firefighters.

The engine block of the bus caused the fire just before 4 p.m. between the Gallery and Casino stations near Blvd. de la Carrière.

Firefighters quickly put out of the blaze.

No one was hurt and passengers were transferred to another bus.

A short detour is in place while STO work to tow the vehicle.
