Rainfall warnings over for eastern Ontario
More than 100 mm fell on some parts of Lanark County, Environment Canada says
Rainfall warnings have ended after a storm that dumped more than 100 millimetres of rain on parts of Lanark County Thursday.
Environment Canada said an area of slow-moving, heavy showers had been moving through the region.
Its weather alert said some parts of central Lanark County saw 100 millimetres of rainfall by the evening and could have received 25 to 50 millimetres more before the rain stopped.
Other areas including southern Ottawa, Kemptville, Pembroke and Renfrew areas were forecasted to get another 50 to 75 millimetres of rain.
Friday's forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with a chance of showers.
