Ottawa police are looking for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was shot in the foot on Donald Street on Monday night.

It happened on at about 9:45 p.m. on Donald, between Elaine and Findon drives east of St. Laurent Boulevard, police said.

The man was shot once in his right foot by a suspect who was on foot at the time. The victim's injuries were not life-threatening and he was taken to hospital by paramedics.

No description of the suspect is available and the victim is not co-operating with the investigation, police said.
