Police seek suspect after 2 Ottawa bank robberies

Ottawa Police are looking for help identifying a man after two banks were robbed in the Lincoln Heights area on Monday.

Police said at 5:30 p.m. a man walked into a bank along the 1400 block of Richmond Road and provided a note demanding money and indicating he was armed.

He fled in the direction of the Lincoln Heights mall with an undisclosed quantity of cash. No weapon was seen.

2 banks robbed in same block

At 7:20 p.m. the same suspect entered another bank along the same block of Richmond Road and again provided a note demanding money. He again fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash.

Police described him as a Caucasian male, 25 to 35 years of age, approximately six feet tall and 150 pounds, with a pale complexion, thin build, red or blonde hair and stained teeth.

He was wearing a bright orange construction-style jacket, jeans and sneakers.
