Ottawa police have determined a man's death near the Laurier Street Bridge Tuesday morning is no longer suspicious.

Police responded and found a body on the sidewalk on the south side of the bridge near the intersection of Queen Elizabeth Driveway and Laurier Avenue.

The body was removed before 8:00 a.m. and two police cruisers remained guarding the scene for a time, which was cordoned off by police tape.

All traffic and pedestrians were rerouted but the intersection has now been reopened.
