A 48-year-old Ottawa man has been charged for five bank robberies between November and as recently as Wednesday.

Plainclothes police arrested Paul Doyle on Feb 20, moments after a bank on Preston Street was robbed.

In addition to the robbery in Little Italy, there were two other bank heists in February, as well as robberies in January and November.

Doyle is charged with five counts of robbery, wearing a disguise and intimidation. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

Police say no weapon was used during the alleged offences and no injuries were reported.
