Police investigating possible shooting on Lees Avenue
Officers trying to find evidence to corroborate reports of multiple shots fired
Ottawa police are asking for the public's help to corroborate a report of multiple shots fired in the Lees Avenue area early Monday morning.
Police received a report of shots being fired at 170 Lees Ave., near the Rideau River and Highway 417, at about 1 a.m.
"There have been no injuries reported at this time in relations to this incident and officers are looking for evidence to corroborate this investigation," said a media release issued by police.
"The investigators are seeking witnesses or persons that have knowledge of the shooting."
