Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police said they got a call about the group around 10:15 p.m. ET Wednesday.
The caller said the five men took three canoes out on Beaver Creek near Weslemkoon Lake Road, about 75 kilometres north of Belleville, at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the group was expected to return home, but didn't.
