Ottawa police are looking for a suspect after a pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint earlier this month.

Police said a pizza delivery employee was turned away from an address in the 2100 block of Elmira Drive in west Ottawa around 11:25 p.m. on April 3.

When the driver was returning to his vehicle, police said he was approached by a man holding a handgun.

The suspect pointed the gun at the driver and asked for cash and his phone, searching him for money and taking the food as well.

The driver was not injured.

Police said the suspect is described as a black man aged 25 to 30 years old, around 5’8” tall with a “round face.”

He was wearing a dark jacket and a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his face, police said.

Anyone with information on this or any other robbery is asked to contact the Ottawa police at 613-236-1222 extension 5116 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477.
