A man in his 60s has died from his injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Centrepointe Drive in Nepean Monday morning.

A man in his 60s has died from his injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Centrepointe Drive in Nepean Monday morning.

Ottawa police said the man had been walking on the side of the road near Dalecroft Crescent and Centrepointe Drive at approximately 9 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle.

The man was transported to hospital with serious injuries but died Monday afternoon.

Police say there was confusion at the scene and they are investigating if it was a hit-and-run. Investigators are doing analysis on the vehicle they believe was involved.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact the Ottawa Police Collisions Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2481.
