Ottawa soccer coach accused of sexually assaulting underage player
East-end coach, 24, arrested after complaint about July incidents
A 24-year-old male soccer coach is facing sexual assault charges after alleged incidents involving two minors.
Ottawa police said the man, a coach in Ottawa’s east end, was arrested after a complaint about incidents that happened in July of this year.
The accused, a native of Bourget, Ont., is facing two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual interference of a person under 16 years of age.
He was released from custody on Tuesday on a $10,000 bond. He can't communicate with the two alleged victims or their families, can't go to public parks, pools or community centres where children may be, can't volunteer with anyone under 16 and is barred from using Facebook and other social media.
His next court date is set for Aug. 18.
