The last time Ottawa Senators fans saw their team play a game that mattered at their arena in Kanata, they were handily defeated by the Pittsburgh Penguins May 22 at Scotiabank Place.

The building and team have seen changes since then, but a six-game road trip to start the 2013-14 season has meant a late start to the home campaign at the Canadian Tire Centre.

The CBC's Jamie Long is covering the game from the rink as the Senators (2-2-2) host the New Jersey Devils (0-3-3) to open their 41-game home schedule.
