Victim stabbed during robbery near Laroche Park

Ottawa police say one person was stabbed when a group of suspects robbed a home near Laroche Park in central Ottawa overnight.

4 arrested after police canine unit tracked them to a nearby home

Ottawa police say one person was stabbed when a group of suspects robbed a home near Laroche Park in central Ottawa overnight.

Police said they were called to an address near the intersection of Scott Street and Carruthers Avenue at 9:50 p.m. after a group of suspects robbed a man and woman in their home, then fled.

One of the residents sustained a minor stab wound, police said.

Police dogs helped officers track down the suspects nearby. 

Five people were arrested on Carruthers Avenue, but only two have been charged. The other three were interviewed by police and released.
