Ottawa #PollWatch shares voting issues at local polling stations

Some Ottawa voters have been using the #PollWatch hashtag to share their issues and observations from election day 2015 as Canadians cast their ballots nationwide.

One polling station in the riding of Ottawa West-Nepean didn't open at 9:30 a.m. as scheduled. A lack of Elections Canada volunteers was reportedly to blame.

There were also some issues at polling stations relating to new identification rules and what is needed to vote.

The reconfigured ridings also left a few residents upset about their commute to vote. Specifically, the riding of Carleton that stretches around the western and southern ends of Ottawa including Kanata and Barrhaven.
