Ottawa police investigate Rideau Street stabbing

Police say a man in his late teens was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his stomach after an incident at Rideau and Nelson streets.

Ottawa police are investigating a downtown stabbing after a man in his late teens was taken to hospital with injuries to his stomach and face.

Paramedics say they treated the man after an incident near the intersection of Nelson and Rideau streets just after 5 a.m. Wednesday.

The man was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds to his stomach, as well as bruising to his face.

Police said the injuries were not considered life threatening.

They continue to investigate but no arrests have been made.
