Ottawa police investigate after shots fired at Kanata home

Used shell casings were found at a home in Ottawa's west end early Sunday and a bullet hole was found in the home.

Ottawa police say a south Kanata home was shot at early Sunday morning.

Police responded to the home on Dobbin Lane, which is in the Bridlewood neighbourhood, just before 6 a.m. Sunday for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found used shell casings and a bullet hole in the home.

Police said nobody was injured.

The force’s guns and gangs section is investigating the incident.

Dobbin Lane sits next to Bridlewood Park and the closest major intersection is Eagleson and Hazeldean roads.
