Police say the man suffered a single gunshot wound around 2:30 a.m. Sunday outside The Nuden on Triole Street. That is near the intersection of Belfast Road and St. Laurent Boulevard.

The man and another passenger were sitting in the back of a taxi but only one person was shot. Police said the taxi driver then took those passengers to The Ottawa Hospital’s General campus.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and he was then transferred to the Civic campus by ambulance.

The Ottawa police guns and gangs unit is leading the investigation.
