Ottawa man facing child pornography charges released

A 32-year-old Ottawa man was released from custody after being charged with possession of child pornography after an investigation of his workplace.

 Ottawa police have released a 32-year-old man facing a charge of possessing child pornography from custody. 

Police said they charged the man Wednesday with one count of possession of child pornography after investigating his workplace. 

He appeared at a bail hearing Thursday and he was released on the condition he refrain from using computers.

Clarifications

  • We earlier reported this charge was connected to a worldwide bust, which Ottawa police had told CBC News. However, police later contacted CBC to say it was not connected.
