Ottawa Folk Festival organizers are refunding some tickets because of Neil Young's cancelled performance.
Young and his band Crazy Horse were forced to cancel their North American and European tours after guitarist 'Poncho' Sampedro broke his hand.
Folk festival organizers said they could announce a replacement on Friday.
Organizers said single-day tickets for Sept. 4 and Gold Circle reserved seating can be refunded on request.
The process of obtaining a refund depends on where the purchase of the ticket occurred.
The value of tickets will be refunded to credit cards used for the purchase of tickets for people who bought their tickets at CapitalTickets.ca, 613-599-FANS (3267), 1-877-788-FANS (3267) or at Capital Tickets outlets.
It could take until Sept. 5 for the credit to appear in accounts.
People who bought their tickets with cash or debit at the Canadian Tire Centre box office, Sens Store locations, Sports Experts locations, Ottawa Festivals, Les Galeries de Hull or the Ottawa Folklore Centre must return to the location the ticket was purchased for a refund.
Festival organizers said people who purchased their tickets at Compact Music, the Ottawa Folk Festival Office or at the Rideau Centre ticket kiosk should visit the Ottawa Folk Festival office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET during the week of August 26 to 30 to obtain a refund. The office is at 265 Catherine St, the second floor of the Greyhound Station.
Purchasers must bring the tickets, the receipt, photo identification and the original debit card.
