Ottawa couple charged with sexual assault of teen girls
Man, 31, and woman, 20, face 5 charges each for alleged incidents in May
An Ottawa couple has been charged with holding two 16-year-old girls against their will and sexually assaulting them with a weapon.
Police say the two teens went to police on May 22 reporting a man and woman sexually assaulted them.
The two girls were invited over to house to hang out, plied with alcohol and marijuana then allegedly sexually assaulted and confined, CBC News sources said.
After reporting the incident to police, the girls were then taken to hospital as a precaution.
Couple arrested Wednesday at Downsview Crescent home
On Wednesday afternoon about a dozen police officers including the tactical unit executed a search warrant at a west Ottawa home on Downsview Crescent and arrested a man and woman.
They two appeared in court Thursday afternoon. Their next appearance is June 3.
Police said the suspects and the victims know each other. There is also one witness, police said.
