Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 57-year-old man from eastern Ontario with impaired driving of a tractor.

Police say officers on patrol in Quinte West, Ont., saw a man driving a farm tractor erratically on County Road 5 on Wednesday just before 1 p.m.

They stopped the tractor and spoke to the driver, which led officers to believe he had been drinking alcohol.

Officers arrested the man and charged him with driving over 80 milligrams in 100 millilitres of blood.

He was released from custody with a promise to appear in court later this month.
