Ottawa police say the driver of a tractor-trailer will not be charged after a fatal crash with a cyclist near a busy south end intersection in October 2013.

Mario Théoret, of Bells Corners, was commuting to work on the morning of Oct. 17 when he was killed on West Hunt Club Road at Merivale Road.

The collision occurred as the tractor-trailer made a right turn onto Merivale Road, investigators said at the time. Both Théoret and the tractor-trailer were travelling east.

The Ottawa police collision investigation unit said Wednesday it has concluded the investigation into the collision and no charges will be laid.
