Nephew charged in Yvon Normand homicide

Gatineau police say 40-year-old Richard Bisson was arrested in connection with the homicide investigation of Yvon Normand and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Charge come after 58-year-old man found dead in his home in November 2013

Gatineau police say 40-year-old Richard Bisson was arrested in connection with the homicide investigation of Yvon Normand and has been charged with second-degree murder.

Police found Normand’s body in his home at 476 Pierre Lafontaine St. near Maloney West and Greber boulevards on Nov. 11, 2013.

An autopsy was conducted a few days later, which confirmed Normand died from a head injury caused by a blunt object.

Normand's nephew, 40-year-old Richard Bisson of Gatineau, was arrested on Lois Street in Hull on Tuesday afternoon.

Bisson appeared in court on Wednesday and was officially charged.
