Environment Canada is warning a storm moving its way through Ontario could drop as much as 15 cm of snow in parts of eastern Ontario beginning early Saturday morning.

A snowfall warning has been issued for most of eastern Ontario, including rural south Ottawa, but not the main portion the city.

Instead, a special weather statement has been issued for Ottawa and Gatineau.

But the city isn't likely to be spared. CBC Climatologist Ian Black said between 10 to 15 cm is likely to fall, beginning at around 5 to 6 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon Saturday.
