The suspect in a July 17 shooting on Horsdal Private, which sent a man to hospital with gunshot wounds in his legs, has turned himself in to police.
Mohamed Abdi Abdullahi, 31, turned himself in to Ottawa police headquarters on Elgin Street Tuesday morning, five days after the shooting.
Charges against him are pending, police said.
A man in his 20s was shot last Thursday just after 7 p.m. on Horsdal Private, a short street near Conroy and Hunt Club roads in the city's south end.
The man's injuries were not life-threatening and he was taken to hospital in stable condition. He refused to co-operate with the investigation, police said.
The following day, Ottawa police announced Abdullahi was wanted to face several firearms offences in connection to the case.
