Ottawa police are looking for a man alleged to have inappropriately touched a toddler in west Ottawa.

Reports are a mother and her son, 2, were playing at a Stittsville park Friday afternoon at about 3 p.m. when a stranger approached and touched the boy.

The mother quickly picked her son up while in shock and left the park at Stittsvile Main Street and Abbott Street, police added.

The man is described as being between 50 and 60 years old, standing about five feet eight inches tall and he was wearing a white hat. The mother reported the man was speaking English loudly, energetically and abruptly.

The man might have been with a woman also between 50 and 60 years old.
