Man seriously injured in Gatineau Park paragliding incident
Man in his 50s rescued from mountainside near Luskville, Que.
A man in his 50s was taken to hospital in serious condition after losing control of his paraglider and ending up stuck on the mountainside in Gatineau Park on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses told CBC News the man was paragliding off the Eardley Escarpment just before 2 p.m. when a strong gust of wind caused his wing to spin out.
Police said he was part of a group taking a paragliding lesson.
The man was rescued and taken to hospital.
