Man dies in western Quebec workplace incident
Quebec officials are investigating after a man died following a workplace accident in the Pontiac region.
The incident happened at 8:48 a.m. Friday in the municipality of Clarendon near Shawville, Que.
A 27-year-old man was working at a site when he became pinned between a conveyor belt and a front-end loader.
He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The Sûreté du Québec, Quebec's coroner and the CSST — the provincial workplace health and safety commission — are investigating the incident.
