Man charged after Kanata stabbing Saturday
A 21-year-old Ottawa man is in custody and faces a number of charges after a stabbing on Barrow Crescent in Kanata this weekend.
Ottawa police say they received a call at about 6 a.m. Saturday after a man was stabbed at a home on Barrow Crescent.
The victim called police and they responded to a location across town near Wallack Private where a suspect was arrested following a short foot pursuit.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The 21-year-old suspect has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, use of a dangerous weapon and two counts of breach of probation. He remains in custody.
Police said the suspect and the victim knew each other, but would not elaborate on their relationship.
