Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from La Pêche, Que., who allegedly stole from a western Quebec ski resort and also defecating in its office earlier this month.
MRC des Collines police said in a news release that someone broke into the Edelweiss Ski Resort in La Pêche on June 3, spending most of the night stealing alcohol, boxes of chocolates, cash and tools "while taking the time to defecate in the administration office."
On Wednesday, police arrested a 32-year-old man and his 59-year-old father at their home in La Pêche in connection to the break-in.
Some of the items stolen from the ski resort were found in their home and family vehicle, police said.
The 32-year-old man was facing charges for similar crimes and was also on probation for similar crimes, police said.
He will remain in jail until his next court appearance July 2. Police weren't immediately able to share what he has been charged with in relation to the June 3 break-in except that it will be "a long list."
The 59-year-old man was released to later face charges of possessing narcotics and trafficking stolen goods.
