A portion of Lees Avenue from Chapel Crescent south to the Transitway closes Monday for the rest of the summer.

The section of the road will be closed for 13 weeks while work crews replace the overpass over Highway 417.

Drivers will be rerouted to Main Street via Greenfield Avenue, while pedestrians and cyclists will be detoured along the Rideau River multi-use pathway via Robinson Avenue.

Work crews will also be installing catch basins and reconstructing Lees Avenue between Main Street and Chestnut Street.

The work is expected to be completed in November.
