No one in custody, police say
Ottawa police are investigating a stabbing after an incident that began on Highway 417 near Eagleson Road late Monday morning.
Police said at about 11 a.m. two drivers on Highway 417 westbound became embroiled in what police are calling a road rage incident.
One driver was in a black Jeep Cherokee and the second driver was in a black Corolla or Camry with tinted windows.
Police and paramedics were called to the 100-block of Herzberg Road, near March Road, just after 11 a.m., after a man who was stabbed knocked on a door seeking help.
Man taken to trauma unit
Paramedics took a man in his 20s to The Ottawa Hospital's Civic campus trauma unit with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for any witness that saw the incident on Highway 417 or in the March road area just west of Herzberg road.
In particular, police said they are looking for a possible license plate of the Camry or Corolla with tinted windows.
