The collision happened at about 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Belfast Road, between the Vanier Parkway and St. Laurent Boulevard exits.

A 33-year-old woman driving the pickup truck was sent to hospital with serious injuries to her pelvis and arm, paramedics said. The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.

Paramedics also assessed a driver heading westbound, whose vehicle was hit with debris from the crash.

A large amount of fuel spilled onto the road and a hazardous materials team was dispatched to clean it up. The cleanup effort is expected to take most of the day, according to Ontario Provincial Police.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call OPP at 613-270-9171.
