Hwy 15 reopens after multiple-vehicle crash

Highway 15 has reopened in both directions after a seven-vehicle pileup in poor road conditions just north of Smiths Falls.

Highway 15 has reopened in both directions after a seven-vehicle pileup in poor road conditions just north of Smiths Falls.

Two trucks and five other vehicles were involved in the collision. Two people suffered minor injuries, said Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kristine Rae.

One of them was taken to hospital.

The highway was closed between McLachlin and MacPherson roads for seven hours but reopened at 1 p.m. ET.

OPP are investigating.
