Heavy rainfall douses Ottawa's warm summer weather
Rainfall warning lifted by Environment Canada, but rain continues to fall
Ottawa continues to be doused with heavy rainfall even though a warning from Environment Canada was lifted on Wednesday morning.
Between 50 and 70 millimetres was expected to fall eastern Ontario over a 24-hour period.
Heavy downpours could cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
There is also a chance of a thunderstorm on Wednesday.
The rain is expected to resume on Wednesday evening and continue overnight into Thursday, with rain continuing intermittently until Saturday.
