Ottawa police have charged a 31-year-old man for allegedly taking a 15-year-old girl east of Rockland, sexually assaulting her and bringing her back to Ottawa.

Police say the man drove the girl to an isolated area on Oct. 20 with a rented grey Mazda 3 before sexually assaulting her.

Then, police add, the man returned the girl to the 1700 block of Innes Road where she called 911. Police found her there.

The man was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday on charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, two counts of uttering threats, forcible confinement and two counts of breach of probation.
